Very pleased to announce that we have now undertaken a proof load test of the boat hoist using calibrated equipment which has been witnessed and certified by our insurance assessors. The proof load applied to the hoist was equivalent to the maximum permitted load plus 25% which now rates the hoist to lift craft up to 12te. We set up a pair of lifting beams anchored in to the ground and attached each hoist to these using fibre slings with an in line load cell and remote display unit to complete the tests. Our insurers were very happy with what they saw.
We still have some small remediation works to undertake to the area surrounding the dock, which has been delayed by bad weather, and we will then be available for lift outs. Watch this space for a further announcement.
