Ripon Motor Boat Club (RMBC) has been offering a warm welcome and affordable family boating to its members since it was established back in 1931, and is now one of the largest inland waterway private boat clubs in England. We’re always looking to grow our community and would love to hear from you!

While our primary focus is on actively promoting the joys of boating, we’re also extremely proud of the community we’ve created – with our member-run, co-operative approach and excellent facilities providing a superb social element to the club too.

With events throughout the year, a shared investment by all club members in the maintenance of the marina and a continual commitment to its development, we’ve come a long way from the days when our clubhouse was an old barge called Enid!

Why join our private boat club?

Based in Littlethorpe, North Yorkshire, the Ripon Motor Boat Club marina offers around 140 berths from approximately 18ft to 33ft, in a beautiful rural Yorkshire setting.

Our members always offer a warm welcome to newcomers and visitors from our affiliated clubs, and we’re buoyed by our shared enthusiasm for all things boating related. When you become a member of our private boat club, some of the benefits you’ll have access to include:

Ripon Motor Boat Club is also established RYA training centre running a number of courses, including Marine Radio, Helmsmanship and many more besides.
